Brasilia – At the invitation of the ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Brazil, Patricia Villegas de Jorge, the Heralds of the Gospel performed a musical concert at the art exhibition organized by the embassy of this Caribbean country. The Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese, Bishop JosĂ© Aparecido Gonçalves de Almeida, as well as diplomats and the military attachĂ©s of different nations were present. A solemn Eucharist culminated the event.


 

Italy – Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Heralds of the Gospel have collaborated with Caritas in Venice to assist people facing situations of extreme poverty. In addition to food, the missionaries bring the needy a word of spiritual comfort at this difficult time and distribute gifts of religious objects among them.


 

Mozambique – In the St. Joseph Community, in Matola, over a hundred and fifty people were baptized by Fr. Arão Mazive, EP, and Fr. Santiago Canals, EP. It was the first time that this Sacrament was administered since the beginning of the restrictions imposed to fight the pandemic.


 

Bogota – The Colombian National Police consecrated themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the end of May. The event was attended by Brigadier General Silverio Ernesto Suárez Hernández, priest and Director of Social Security. The Heralds were invited to solemnize the ceremony, which began with the crowning of the Pilgrim Image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, followed by Holy Mass and the consecration of the institution.


 

Spain – In the now-established custom for the Corpus Christi ceremonies in Madrid, the Heralds accompanied with their hymns the monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament as it exited the Cathedral of The Virgin of Almudena, during the celebration presided over by Cardinal Carlos Osoro Sierra (photo at left). On the same day, the Heralds performed three musical performances in Toledo, from atop the famous Bisagra Gate (pictured right).


 

Guatemala – Various evangelizing projects were carried out by the feminine sector of the Heralds of the Gospel in Guatemala City over the month of May. Among them, the visits with the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to nursing homes, hospitals and homes stand out.
