Slaves of Love to the Blessed Virgin
February 24 and March 2, yet another class from the course of consecration to the Blessed Virgin on the Reconquista Catholic Formation Platform, from the Heralds of the Gospel, made their consecration as slaves of love to Our Lady. The reparation classes, free and online, were taught by Fr. Ricardo José Basso, EP, following the method of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort.
In-person ceremonies were held in twenty-four cities across Brazil. Over ten thousand people were also able to follow live through the Heralds’ social networks, the broadcast of the solemn Mass celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Caieiras (SP).
United States – Between January 28 and February 2, the Heralds of the Gospel carried out a Marian Mission in the area of Christ Cathedral, in Garden Grove, California. More than one hundred and fifty homes welcomed the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The mission ended with the consecration of the cathedral to the Blessed Virgin, after a Mass. In addition to the American and Hispanic faithful, the Diocese of Orange, whose see is Christ Cathedral, has the largest Vietnamese community outside Vietnam.
Afternoon with Mary – Copious graces have been poured out in Afternoons with Mary held in Brazil and around the world. In February, especially notable were the programmes at Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima Basilica in Cotia, São Paulo, and at the construction site of the Heralds’ church in Joinville, Santa Catarina, both with the presence of Fr. Ricardo José Basso, EP; as well as in the city of Armenia, Colombia, with Fr. Manuel Rodríguez Sancho, EP.
Dominican Republic – The Apostolic Nuncio to the Dominican Republic, Archbishop Piergiorgio Bertoldi, celebrated a solemn Eucharist on November 25, on the site where the Heralds’ church will be built in this Caribbean nation. At the end of the Holy Mass, the blessing of the cornerstone followed.
World Day of the Sick – Illnesses are often occasions for Providence to associate His chosen ones with the pains of Christ’s Passion, the price of our Redemption. In order to strengthen them in this path, the Heralds of the Gospel took part, on February 11th, in the World Day of the Sick, organizing Masses with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and the anointing with the Holy Oils, in many of the places where operate. Symposiums at Carnival Time

ooperators and friends of the Heralds of the Gospel gathered during the Carnival holiday to participate in retreats and formation symposiums held, for the most part, in the institution’s churches and homes. These events occured at the Oratory of Our Lady of Fatima, St. Agnes Chapel, and the House of Our Lady of Procura, in Mairiporã (SP); in the Brazilian cities of Nova Friburgo and Campos dos Goytacazes, (RJ); Belo Horizonte, Juiz de Fora and Montes Claros (MG), Piraquara (PR), Lauro de Freitas (BA), and Campo Grande; as well as in the capital of Costa Rica.
