Much more than any Angel or Saint, Our Lady desired at every step to fulfil God’s will, to fully conform herself to Him.
She wanted the goodness of her Son to be received in countless hearts that would consent to suffer with Him in order to win an even greater number of children. However, if God’s holiness demanded it, her zeal led Her to ask Him to exercise justice, punishing the recalcitrant: “He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble” (Lk 1:52).
