We could ask why Our Lady is called the Mother of Divine Providence. She bears this title, not because She gave birth to Divine Providence, but because She is entrusted, according to the designs of the Most High, with the maternal application of His decrees. It is thus that God’s governance over us is carried out with a plenitude of tenderness, of commiseration, of affection, that utterly surpasses what man is capable of imagining.
The fact that we have a Mother who conducts our spiritual life, our apostolate and our daily activities is, then, the reason for our confidence.
