Asuncion (Paraguay) – The Heralds of the Gospel participated in the transfer of the statue of Our Lady of the Assumption, Patroness of Paraguay and Marshal of the nation’s army, which took place on August 6. The procession, presided over by Metropolitan Archbishop Edmundo Ponziano Valenzuela, SDB, proceeded from the National Pantheon of Heroes and Oratory of the Virgin of the Assumption to the cathedral, where the Rosary a solemn Mass were held.
Juiz de Fora (Brazil) – In July, the Heralds of this city distributed food baskets to needy families in the Vila Ideal district. In addition to material assistance, the indispensable spiritual assistance was not lacking.
Dominican Republic – To commemorate the feast of Our Lady of Mercy, the Heralds held a Marian Mission in St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, which closed with a Mass (photo 3). In the same month, young people instructed by the institution’s catechists received the Sacrament of Confirmation (photo 1 and 2) from the Auxiliary Bishops of Santo Domingo, the Most Rev. Faustino Burgos Brisman, CM, and the Most Rev. José Amable Durán Tineo.
Italy – On September 8, the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady, the abbots of the Benedictine Confederation gathered in the Church of San Benedetto in Piscinula, Rome, for the chanting of Vespers, followed by fraternization. Among those present were Dom Gregory Polan, Abbot Primate, Dom Philippe Dupont, Abbot of Solesmes, and Fr. Bernhard Andreas Eckerstorfer, Rector of the Pontifical Athenaeum of St. Anselm.
Mozambique – Bishop Piergiorgio Bertoldi, Apostolic Nuncio to Mozambique, administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to sixteen young people during the Holy Mass celebrated on June 26, at the House of the Heralds in Maputo.
Ponta Grossa (Brazil) – On July 27, Fr. Mateus Tanegati, EP, blessed the premises of the Secretariat of Citizenship and Public Security of Ponta Grossa. Participating in this moment of prayer were the municipal secretary, Dr. Tânia Sviercoski, and the commander of the Municipal Guard, Maribel Krum, along with other collaborators of this department.
