Masses for the Soul of Msgr. João
M asses have been celebrated for the eternal repose of Msgr. João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder of the Heralds of the Gospel, who passed away on November 1. The celebrations were held in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay and India, as well as in twenty-one cities in Brazil.
Italy – In the second half of October, the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary visited the island of Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian archipelago, as well as the towns of San Filippo Inferiore and Superiore, followed by the city of Messina, in Sicily. Eucharistic celebrations, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, meditated Rosaries, processions, catechesis and visits to residences, nursing homes, schools and commercial centres marked the blessed days of the Marian mission.
Mozambique – The Herald priests have been carrying out ongoing and fruitful work in this African country. In the photos above, Sunday Masses at the Community of Blessed Clementine Anuarite and at the Community of St. Joseph the Worker in Matola-Gare, along with catechetical instruction for the children of the Missionary Childhood of the Community of St. Peter and St. Paul, given at the Heralds’ house in Maputo.
First Communion and Confirmation
T hrough the Sacraments, the Holy Church distributes grace to her children, guiding them on the paths of holiness. Thus, the Heralds of the Gospel pay special attention to the preparation of those who will receive the Sacraments of Christian initiation.

Colombia – In the month of November, individuals who have already made their consecration as slaves of love to the Blessed Virgin gathered to honour the Mother of God at Ecce Homo Cathedral in Valledupar; at Jesus of Mercy Parish at St. Ezequiel Moreno Cathedral in Pasto; and at the Parish of Our Lady of Torcoroma in Barranquilla.
Symposiums – Brazil – With the aim of growing in knowledge and love for Our Lady, and in this way to better preparing themselves for evangelization, collaborators of the Heralds of the Gospel and friendly families participated in training symposiums held in the cities of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, and Piraquara, Paraná, in the month of November.
All Saints – Brazil – With the joy typical of innocence, young children from Rio de Janeiro and Piraquara, Paraná, participated in the festivities of the Solemnity of All Saints, celebrated this year on November 3 in Brazil, dressing up as their favourite saints, in order to reflect on earth the virtues of those who have already reached Heaven.
