Demanding with Self, Kind to Others

You must be very attentive to the little things, to the little defects; never make peace with them. Let us ask God to torment our hearts, that is, to let us feel a very vivid remorse for our small falls.

Let us truly and diligently commit ourselves to doing every day what we would like to feel like we had done at the point of death. Let us reflect that the day will come when we must present ourselves to God for the final reckoning…

We will be alone, with no one to defend us and will have to account for everything, even the smallest transgression of our duties!

We must not, however, lose courage; that, no, for it would be an even greater act of pride. Rather we ought to throw ourselves into the arms of Jesus and promise Him vigilance over ourselves to amend our defects. […]

Courage, sisters, we work for a good and very rich Master, who promised a hundred to one.

Time passes quickly, and if we do not wish to appear empty-handed at the point of death, we must begin right away to delve deep into solid and authentic virtue; it is not words that lead to Paradise, but deeds. […]

To become saints, my sisters, we must be demanding with ourselves and very kind to others; if not, we will never attain Heaven.
