Heralds Worldwide


 

Paraguay – On August 6, the Heralds of the Gospel participated in the transfer of the statue of Our Lady of the Assumption, the national Patroness, from her oratory in the National Pantheon of Heroes, in AsunciĂłn, to the cathedral. On June 23, Senator Oscar RubĂ©n SalomĂłn, president of the Senate, consecrated the work of the National Congress to the Virgin of Fatima. The ceremony took place in the Central Hall of the Legislative Palace and was attended by four other senators and officials from the country’s two legislative chambers.

Colombia – On September 2, the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in TocancipĂĄ welcomed the Most Rev. HĂ©ctor Cubillos Peña, Bishop of ZipaquirĂĄ, who administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to young people from both
the male and female sector of the Heralds of the Gospel. On August 4 and 26, respectively, the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart Mary visited the elderly at the St. Elizabeth Foundation in Envigado and the sick at the General Hospital of Medellin.

Italy – A visit to the city of Albano di Lucania, in the Province of Potenza, was made in September with the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, welcomed by the Bishop of Tricarico, Most Rev. Giovanni Intini, by Fr. Domenico Fanuele, parish priest of Santa Maria Assunta Church, and the municipal mayor, Bruno Santamaria. Eucharistic Celebrations, Sacramental Confessions, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, processions, catechesis, meditated Rosaries and visits to the sick, shops and schools marked the days of the mission.


 

“Why Consecrate Myself to Our Lady?”

A book authored by Fr. Ricardo José Basso, EP entitled Why Consecrate Myself to Our Lady? was released in Caieiras (São Paulo State) on September 3. The work was written in answer to requests made by students of the Course on Consecration to the Blessed Virgin according to the method of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, which the priest offers on the Reconquest Catholic Formation Platform.
Fr. Ricardo Basso also took part in the launching of the book in the Brazilian cities of Montes Claros (Minas Gerais), on September 7; and Belém (Parå), between October 1 and 2, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Nazareth, at Holy Cross Parish, and in the Church of St. John the Baptist and Our Lady of Graces, in the Icoaraci district.
