Dedication of the oratory in Campos dos Goytacazes – The dedication and blessing of the altar of St. Paul the Apostle Oratory, belonging to the Heralds of the Gospel, took place on July 11. The ceremony was presided over by Diocesan Bishop Roberto Francisco Ferrería Paz, and concelebrated by the Vicar General, Msgr. Leandro de Moraes Diniz, the local parish priest, Fr. Dênison Martins, along with numerous other priests from the diocese and the Heralds of the Gospel.

M ore than fifteen hundred cooperators of the Heralds of the Gospel participated in the international congress held in three successive sessions, between July 17 and 26, at the Tabor Formation House complex. These days were marked by periods of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Masses, processional Rosaries, presentations, and study circles. Each participant received a souvenir copy of The Book of Confidence, authored by Fr. Thomas de Saint-Laurent.
Paraguay – On August 2, Cardinal Adalberto Martínez Flores, Archbishop of Asunción, celebrated the Solemn Eucharist for the installation of Fr. Kirthan Carlo, EP, as parish priest of the Church of St. Isidore the Farmer, in the city of Limpio. The Holy Mass was concelebrated by priests from the local diocese and the Heralds of the Gospel, and was attended by a large number of the faithful.
São Paulo – Expocatólica – A solemn procession with the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, led by youth from the priestly formation centre of the Clerical Society Virgo Flos Carmeli, marked the 19th edition of Expocatólica on July 25. On that occasion, the event’s director, Kiara Castro, crowned the image of the Blessed Virgin.
Activities in Italy
Instituition of ministries – On July 3, during a ceremony held at the Church of San Benedetto in Piscinula in Rome, Cardinal Raymundo Damasceno Assis, Archbishop Emeritus of Aparecida, conferred the ministries of lector and acolyte upon members of the Heralds of the Gospel residing in Europe.
Triduum in honour of St. Benedict – A three-day series of solemn Eucharistic celebrations led up to the Patron Saint’s feast day at the Church of San Benedetto in Piscinula, from July 8 to 10. We highlight the Masses celebrated by Bishop Luis Marín de San Martín, OSA, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Service of Charity; Bishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu, Secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelization; and Bishop Jeremias Schröder, Abbot Primate of the Benedictine Confederation.
Marian missions – In July, the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary visited the Sicilian parishes of St. Mary of Carmel in Catania and St. John the Baptist in Messina, bestowing her blessings on churches, residences, schools, and nursing homes.
Lesotho – Heralds residing in Mozambique and South Africa carried out a fruitful Marian mission at the St. Louis Parish in Matsieng, from June 26 to 28. The mission included visits to families, a procession, a beautiful motorcade, and the recitation of a thousand Hail Marys for the Queen Consort of Lesotho, who was celebrating her birthday.
