Montes Claros (Brazil) – On August 27, the Heralds of the Gospel of this Archdiocese had the joy of receiving the Metropolitan Archbishop, the Most Rev. José Carlos de Souza Campos, at the Church of Our Lady of Claríssimos Montes. After the Holy Mass, the faithful had the chance to greet the prelate.
Belém (Brazil) – The festivities in honour of Holy Mary of Belém (Bethlehem), celebrated on September 2 in the metropolitan cathedral, included the participation of the Heralds of the Gospel. The solemn Mass was presided over by the Most Rev. Teodoro Mendes Tavares, CSSp, Bishop of Ponta de Pedras.
Colombia – On September 9, the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in the city of Tocancipá welcomed the participants of the National Encounter of the Mary Queen of All Hearts Shrine Apostolate. On the 19th, the Heralds’ choir added music to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá, in Boyacá. Also this month, the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary visited the city of Tuluá, in the Cauca Valley, visiting the Simón Bolívar Police School and bestowed blessings on the retreat for Shrine Apostolate members.
Bahia (Brazil) – On September 7, faithful from the Our Lady of Aparecida Parish gathered at the Heralds’ House in Lauro de Freitas for a day of spirituality, with talks by Bishop Valter Magno de Carvalho and Bishop Marco Eugênio Galrão Leite de Almeida, Auxiliaries of the Salvador diocese. On the 10th, the choir of cooperators sang at the Mass in honour of Our Lady of the Seas, celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Dorival Souza Barreto Júnior, in Salvador, the Bahian state capital.
Italy – The parishioners of the Church of San Benedetto in Piscinula, in Rome, consecrated themselves on September 24 to the Archangels St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael. This month, the Heralds of the Gospel also carried out a Marian mission in the small town of Cianciana, Sicily, with processions, vigils, catechesis, moments of prayer and visits to the sick and elderly.
Piraquara (Brazil) – Abundant graces were poured out at the Afternoon with Mary held at the house of the Heralds of the Gospel in this city on September 16, with the presence of Fr. Ricardo José Basso, EP. The programme included the solemn crowning of the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a vibrant lecture and the celebration of Holy Mass.
Paraguay – On September 24, Heralds of the Gospel cooperators carried the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to the Tacumbú penitentiary, in Asunción. The visit nded with a Mass celebrated by the Metropolitan Archbishop, Cardinal Adalberto Martínez Flores, and attended by authorities from the Ministry of Justice.
Mexico – On July 15, the Heralds held an Afternoon with Mary at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels, in Puebla. The programme began with a catechetical lecture, followed by the recitation of the Rosary, the crowing of the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Holy Mass.
Guatemala – The elderly at the Valentina Residence, in Guatemala City, received a visit from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine on August 10. On September 7, the image of the Blessed Virgin also brought solace to haemodialysis patients at Love Foundation.
Mozambique – Two sick members of the St. Vincent Community, in Matola-Gare, received the Sacrament of Baptism on August 19. Days later, the Mozambican Heralds offered a musical presentation for the residents at the home run by the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly, during the visit of the Most Rev. Francisco Chimoio, OFM Cap, Archbishop Emeritus of Maputo.
South Africa – The Pilgrim Satue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was led in lively procession through the streets of the city of Bronkhorspruit, to mark the closing of the Marian Sodality retreat on August 19. A solemn Eucharistic Celebration followed, presided over by Bishop Masilo John Selemela, Auxiliary Bishop of Pretori.
